Margaret "Peggy" Brennan

Associate Director of Humanities Without Walls

Peggy Brennan has been involved with Humanities Without Walls (HWW) since 2017. As Grad Lab Practicum Coordinator, she oversaw the work of graduate student collaborators on Grand Research Challenge “Humanities in a Changing Climate” projects, and attended the HWW Summer Career Diversity Workshop in 2018. As a research assistant in the fall 2020 semester, she expanded HWW communication strategies to publicize programs that are new to the grant. Peggy is a historian of early modern Europe, with a specific focus on the transatlantic migration of German-speaking refugees in the early eighteenth century. She holds a PhD in History from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a master’s degree from Trinity College Dublin and a BA from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky.
